Meet the Retired Golf Hack!
I been a banker, a consultant, a business owner, and a mortgage banker for the past 40 years or so. But, I’ve always loved golf. I started playing when I was a kid of about 8 or 9, learning the game from my Dad at Maryland Golf and Country Club in Bel Air, MD.
I’ve been a member of Cripple Creek Golf and Country Club in Bethany Beach, DE since 1999. I took a hiatus from golf in my 20’s and 30’s as I starting my career and raising a family, maybe playing 10 times a year. After joining the Creek, I became a fairly regular player and my handicap has improved steadily over the years.
Competition is what I play for – tournaments, gambling, whatever.
I’m our current Club Champion (2002, 2008, 2012, 2017 & 2018) and Senior Club Champion (2011, 2015, 2016, 2018) at Cripple Creek and play on the Tour on the Shore and The Tour Sponsored by UnderArmor.
I’m now retired (March 2018) and working on my golf game. I decided to convert my mortgage blog to a personal blog about my journey in golf since retirement.
Because, from time to time I have something to say . .
